Pisco

Pisco sour is made with the liquor that gives it its name, a type of spirit that is distilled and consumed in Peru, although also in Chile. But the indisputable flavor that the drink from Pisco lands transmits is the favorite and most sought after by all consumers of this liquor.

The origin of pisco

The name of pisco derives from the port of the same name, located in a province in the south of the country and from where the first block of liquor was shipped to Spain, in the 16th century. Its unique aroma and fragrance combines European life, accustomed to the sunny lands of the Peruvian coast, and the art of the oldest potters in the area who created the jars in which this drink is stored.

According to history, the first grapes and vineyard crops that arrived in Peru were brought by the Spanish conquerors from the Canary Islands and after an extensive wine culture, this distillate began to be produced, which has three varieties: pure pisco , green must and acholado .

The cigar is obtained from a single variety of pisco grapes, the green must is obtained from fresh musts with interrupted fermentation and the acholado is achieved by mixing all the grapes accepted for the preparation of this drink.

How to prepare a good pisco sour?

It's very easy, easier than it seems. You need pisco, the amount will depend on how many people will consume the combination, gum syrup, lemon juice, ice cubes, egg whites and Angostura bitters.

The preparation consists only of putting the pisco , rubber syrup, lemon juice and ice in a blender until well mixed, then adding the egg whites and beating a little more. To finish, it is served in glasses and two drops of Angostura bitters are added to give it a distinctive touch.
