Calvados is the protected designation of origin for the traditional cider liqueur made in Normandy for centuries. The "Calvados Contrôlée Appellation" guarantees control of the entire production process: from the apple harvest to the production process and aging in oak barrels.
It is a distillate of cognac and fresh apples that is aged for three years in oak barrels.
