THE CELLAR
Alta Alella is a family project that began in the early nineties. The winemaker and entrepreneur Josep Maria Pujol-Busquets together with his wife Cristina Guillén, acquiring the Can Genís estate, with noucentista reminiscences, located in the agricultural area of the Serralada de Marina Natural Park, between the Municipalities of Alella and Tiana.
In 1991, Alta Alella planted its first vines, together with the traditional Alella variety, Pansa Blanca (Xarel lo), followed by a diversity of varieties, including the forgotten Mataró, which had not been cultivated since the days of the phylloxera. The winery was built and the farmhouse was reformed.
