THE CELLAR

The Bodega del Bierzo Casar de Burbia, located in the town of Carraceledo, in the province of Leon. It has 27 hectares. of vineyards, most of them centenary, spread over the Valtuille de Arriba mountain next to the Camino de Santiago.

Its founder, Nemesio Fernández Bruña, began to acquire vineyards at the end of the 80s. These vineyards suffered a slow abandonment due to their low production and he began a laborious job of regrafting 9,000 plants that lasted 7 years, changing the varieties of white grapes, for the Mencia grape variety.

This laborious work is transmitted in its excellent wines.
