Amrut translates as "drink of the gods" or "nectar of life." Whiskey connoisseur, Jim Murray gave it an 82 point rating in 2005 and 2010. In 2010 Amrut Fusion was voted the third best single malt whiskey in the world.
Golden yellow colour. Aromas of exotic fruits, wood, spices, smoked and peat. Velvety and smooth on the palate with notes of wood, dark chocolate, vanilla, peat spices and malt with a slight smokiness. Long and intense finish.
THE DISTILLERY
Amrut Distillery was founded in 1948. It is the first single malt whiskey to have been made in India.
