THE CELLAR
The Cuatro Pasos Winery is in the municipality of Cacabelos (Leon). Its owner, Martin Codax, known for making albariños in the DO Rias Baixas, restored an old abandoned winery in the area to start making his first wines with the Bierzo designation of origin.
Its vineyards, most of which are over 80 years old, and the plantation of more than 1,300 fruit trees, most of them cherry and chestnut trees, spread over an area of 2.5 hectares, in collaboration with the Fund for the Protection of Wild Animals, FAPAS, have been carrying out different actions aimed at the recovery of the brown bear in El Bierzo for three years now, by improving food resources and reinforcing the pollinating activity of the bee, they have turned it into a Singular winery.
