The alcohol with which Kamiki whiskey is made comes from the Shrmiwa Shrine in Nara, one of the oldest Shinto shrines in Japan and a tutelary sanctuary of Japanese alcohol producers. Most of the known families of alcohol producers are in Nara, these families have a centuries-old tradition of producing alcohol for Ōmiwa. The alcohol produced by these families is served as blessings at Shinto temples.
Carefully selected Japanese single malt whiskeys are blended with some of the best single malt whiskeys from around the world, fusing this blend with pure spring water from the Kansai region.
Aged in two stages, the second in Yoshino Sugi barrels, considered the best wood for making barrels due to its refreshingly perfumed aroma and aroma of wood.
Brilliant amber colour. Aromas of apples, peaches, honey, nuts, green tea, peat and light toast. On the palate citric notes, peat, cedar honey, nuts, vanilla, incense pepper, ginger and sandalwood fresh from the cedar.
