DO Ribera del Duero
Variety: Tempranillo (100%)
Pago de los Capellanes is aged for 12 months in medium toasted French oak and another 12 months in the bottle.
Very intense bright cherry colour, with cardinal rims. Aroma of black and forest fruits, wood and vanilla. Notes of leather and licorice typical of the French Oak assembly stand out.
On the palate it is soft, balanced, with fine tannins that will contribute to extending its life, ending with a finish on the palate and a long and elegant aftertaste.

(The vintages of this wine correspond to those currently marketed by the winery itself)
THE CELLAR
Pago de los Capellanes is located near the town of Pedrosa de Duero, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region of Spain. In the 14th century, a chaplaincy existed in the village, and the inhabitants donated small plots of land to the chaplains in gratitude for the performance of their religious duties. In time, the chaplains became a considerable landowner. In 1855, the land was handed over to the town hall and the farm that housed vineyards became the Pago de los Capellanes winery.
Wine of low production and excellent quality that make it one of the most desired wines.
