Each bottle of Absolut is produced in Åhus, in southern Sweden, near the wheat fields that give Absolut's products their distinctive mild grain flavor.
It is made from winter wheat, a robust and resistant grain that yields a superior vodka. Every year, approximately 80,000 tons of winter wheat are used in the production of this drink and all its variants.
All the water used to produce Absolut comes from a single well at its Åhus distillery, and uses a process called continuous distillation, developed in the 19th century, in which multiple distillations are carried out until all impurities are removed.
