The story goes that in 15th century Poland, where King Sigismund III of Poland commissioned the best alchemist of the time to prepare a vodka recipe for him so that the court could continue with its activity during the day, after the long dinners that were offered, in which abundant vodka was drunk, which was drunk in special glasses, which had no stem and therefore had to be drunk completely after the toast.
